  • Armchair Theatre was a British television drama anthology series of single plays that ran on the ITV network from 1956 to 1974. It was originally produced by Associated British Corporation. Its franchise successor Thames Television took over from mid-1968.

    Comedy drama Foot In The Door focused on former schoolteacher turned travelling salesman David Field who has a real problem with knocking on doors and is convinced he is not cut out to be a salesman; His cousin, who just happens to be a real sales pro, is drafted in to help.

    Amongst the cast is a young Jack Wild best known for his role as the Artful Dodger in the film Oliver! (1968).
