The Spare Tyres is a 20 minute comedy film short written by actor and playwright Donald Churchill.
A couple, Dennis and Audrey Colville, played by Terence Alexander and Judy Franklin, move into a new house only to discover two old tyres dumped in the garden. Trying to get rid of them proves to be a bit of a problem for Dennis.
Donald Churchill appears in the film playing a Milkman and it also features his wife Pauline Yates.
Frank, Donald and Pauline were great friends and part of the film was shot in and around East Molesey and Weybridge not far from where Frank lived in Shepperton. You can see the 'then' and 'now' locations on the very excellent Reelstreets website.
